Since you're trying to improve your English I shall reply in English. (其实是自己懒得打中文,哈哈)
Speaking, reading and listening are the keys to learn any language.
Reading / listening to news is the most effective way to improve your grasp of a language, and I believe it is the most widely used means for all reputable language training centre.

Why Chinese people (well at least those in China / Taiwan / Hong Kong) can master Chinese language so well? It is because they apply that language in their daily life unknowingly. To them it is not practicing, it is just a norm for them to use it while shopping , ordering meals / chatting over the phone, but to another who’s foreign to the language, it is a way of practicing the language.

feel confident to use it. Most people (including myself
