I heard that wildlife management in the US announced that there has been no trace of a certain species of cougar for 80 years, and so it has been designated as "extinct". This is such a pity. Even if there isn't any proof that they were heavily hunted by humans, this just can't be completely unrelated. How many different species of animals become extinct each year because of humans?
