Even though the weather this morning was not very good, luckily it had greatly improved by the afternoon. I was enjoying the lively atmosphere as I welcomed everyone coming into the race track to watch the "Audeman Piguet QEII" Cup, under the bright sunshine. Besides participating in the special fashion show, I also had a chance to visit the area where the horses are prepared. In the past when I went to the race track to watch the races or to eat, I was never able to go to that area. Being able to see the horses close up and personally, I was really able to sense their competitiveness.
It was not until I arrived home after work today that my dad found out I had attended this race. He was very happy about it. He enjoys spending time learning about horse racing and had a lot of opinions and knowledge regarding this race. I hope I can take him to see the horses that participated in the race. If I ever became a horse owner, I would definitely name the horse after my dad.
