I attended the publicity event "Audemars Piguet QEII Cup Selection Announcement" for the Hong Kong Jockey Club. This is a big event for international horse racing. I am really looking forward to watching this grand event at the end of the month, because it is a completely different experience to watch horse racing at a track, compared to watching it on television. Being there at the races, you can really feel the explosive forces coming from the horses as they race toward the finish line.
Since my dad likes to make small bets on horse racing for fun, I often heard the humorous remarks from Mr. Bill Tung when he was the emcee for these races. I still remember his famous line "I'm Bill Tung, you're not. When I talk about horses, you need to listen." It was really explosive with his own personal style.
Today, many media friends asked if I am interested in owning a horse? Of course I am interested, but you can't own a horse just because you have money. It also depends on whether or not you have the required knowledge, as well as the luck to find a horse you like. I hope that someday I can get involved in this with my dad.
